Argentina and Chile, the wine giants of South America | wine tour

South America has been making wine for more than 400 years, but its true modern era began only about fifty years ago. Since then, the two giants of the continent, Argentina and Chile, have transformed their wine industries.

Today, both countries produce wines with ambition and often a remarkable personality.

On this tour, you can explore that evolution firsthand: taste the wines, stroll through the vineyards, and meet the winemakers who shaped this new chapter. Along the way, you will enjoy magnificent landscapes, long leisurely lunches, and perhaps a pisco sour (in Chile – Fernet con Coca in Argentina, if you wish…) by the pool in the late afternoon.

Our adventure begins in Buenos Aires and ends in Santiago de Chile. From the Argentine capital, we fly to Mendoza, the beating heart of malbec.

After four days of exploring Mendoza, we will cross the Andes by bus, a spectacular passage. Once in Chile, the focus shifts to cabernet sauvignon and carménère, grown in the famous Colchagua Valley, but also to the country’s vibrant white wines grown along the cool Pacific coast.

On the coast, we will pay a visit to the colourful harbour city of Valparaíso, famous for its steep hills, street art, and bohemian charm.

This is a chance to experience two dynamic wine countries in one unforgettable wine tour.
