Vinofil Recommends: Come to the Southern Rhone Valley

Share/like this post:

Vinofil is a Swedish wine blogger who writes about wine recommendations, tasted wines and some food. It’s inevitable that sit up straight when Vinofil writes “come with us to the southern Rhone valley”!

We can only agree! Come to the Southern Rhone Valley for an unforgettable wine tour!

Vinofil writes about it more in the symbolic sense. She (or is it a he?) writes about some excellent wines from the Rhone Valley. No doubt it is the second best thing, to try these three delicious wines, after visiting the wine district “in real life”. And it is of course much easier to go into the nearest wine shop and buy three bottles. It may also provide some inspiration for future travel destinations!

Here are Vinofil’s three recommendations:

  • Xavier Grenache Vieilles Vignes 2010, Cotes du Rhone (This particular wine has been written up by several wine bloggers, and down by at least one. It is no doubt best to make up ones mind oneself. Not everyone has the same taste …)
  • Collines de Rocalinand 2010, Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages
  • Château Mont-Redon 2008, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

“Three red lovely favourites from the Rhone Valley,” said Vinofil. Does not sound bad at all!

We can only add that if you want to try this particular type of wines and get to know them in detail (plus enjoy some lovely weather), you can come on our wine tour to the Southern Rhone and Chateauneuf-du-Pape with BKWine!
