Argentinians drink only a fraction as much wine as they did a few decades back. The wine bottle is not a given on the family dining table. Is it terminal decline?
A week in Buenos Aires paints a very different picture, much more positive. Wine bar after wine bar prominently displayed and served wine on crowded side-walk seating. Young people were chatting and drinking. But not the same wines, nor in the same way as their parents and grandparents.
BKWine Magazine contributor Guido Spina spent a week immersed in the Buenos Aires scene and discovered the future might look brighter than we think for wine.
The story is much more generally applicable than just for Argentina. How do you see it?
