UNESCO World Heritage Wine region #1: Tokaj in Hungary

Share/like this post:

I recently wrote about wine regions which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here comes the next wine district.

Tokaj is an exciting area with exotic wines. Hungary has undergone a renaissance over the last decade, in terms of wines, as has Tokaj with its famous sweet Tokay wine. Today, Hungary is a very interesting wine country. It sometimes presents grape varieties that may be difficult to pronounce. Try not to twist your tongue, use it instead to taste, for the wines are excellent.

BKWine has arranged wine tours to Tokaj, with a stop on the road in Eger, halfway to Tokaj from Budapest. An exciting trip for those looking for something different. Currently we do wine tours to Hungary and Tokaj custom made wine tours only.

Read more on the wine regions that have been included on the Unesco World Heritage list; the next article will be published in a day or so.
