We are soon starting the autumn wine tour season. We have lined up many delicious trips. Most of them are already fully booked, but there are still a few places left.
My most important thing to say right now, however, is that it is really time to take a serious look at the program for the wine tour to New Zealand in March – a tour full of exceptional experiences. More about that and more about another exciting news (we think!) on the travel site below.

We have made a major reorganisation. During the more than 20 years we have been organising wine tours, we have created a lot of information that can be useful for those who go travelling, whether with us or with someone else (with us, we hope). But it’s been hard to find. Now, we have sorted and organised and presented it better on the travel site:

But now, the piece de resistance: New Zealand:
New Zealand March 2027
Why go to New Zealand?
- They make world-class wines. Forget the myth of “over-aromatic Sauvignon Blanc” – you will discover that it is not true when you are there.
- Fantastic nature. Wine regions everywhere are beautiful, but in New Zealand it is plainly magnificent. We will travel through almost the entire country and will see much of the country’s overwhelming nature.
- Always close to the sea: Almost all of New Zealand’s wine regions have a coastal climate. Some of them are located by the sea, Waiheke Island, Hawkes Bay… Others a little further inland. We will also follow the breathtakingly beautiful coastal road on the South Island which will take us past a seal colony, and a restaurant specialising in New Zealand lobster (where we make a stop!).
- Pinot noir that rivals Burgundy (yes, I dare say it): Central Otago has become one of the world’s leading producers of pinot noir in just 20 years.
- Three boat trips: Out to Waiheke Island (and back), from the North Island to the South Island, with a chance (not a guarantee) of seeing both albatrosses (the world’s largest bird?) and dolphins, and on a glacial lake.
- That’s right, glacial lake: If the weather permits (which it usually does), a trip in a small boat on a young glacial lake (formed in the 80s) in the shadow of Mount Cook, 3,724 m high, which provides a concrete and almost frightening illustration of global warming.
- Unique cities with character: Auckland (largest), Napier (perhaps the world’s best-preserved Art Deco city), Wellington (capital), Blenheim (home of Sauvignon Blanc), Kaikura (the whale-watching town, but unfortunately out of season), Christchurch (with its ruined church), Martinborough (where we stay on New York Street), and finally Queenstown, which is unlike anything else in New Zealand, sandwiched between The Remarkables Mountains and Lake Wakatipu.
- Maori culture and dinner: A truly unique evening at the home of a Maori family (the “indigenous people”) who will explain their culture and serve us a home-cooked dinner.
- Really, really somewhere else: A special experience to be on the other side of the globe in a country that is at the same time modern and like old England.
- And much, much more.
- And above all:
- Lots of fantastic wine experiences and gastronomic meals: We visit almost all wine regions, Waiheke Island, Hawkes Bay, Martinborough, Gladstone, Marlborough, Central Otago…
