We tasted some of the best wines of Sancerre on the tour

Last spring we were in Sancerre for a wine tour that we organised. It was one of the wine villages we visited on our trip “Three Classics” which this time began in Champagne, proceeded to Chablis and ended in Sancerre. Three lovely white wine districts on five intensive days.

One of the visits in Sancerre was at Domaine Henri Bourgeois. They make high-class and elegant wines. We had an opportunity to taste a number of their wines, including some special old vintages that M Bourgeois himself went to find in the cellar. He wanted to show us what can happen with a Sancerre wine when you give it some more years in bottle.

Britt has written a brief profile of Domaine Henri Bourgeois and talk about the wines we tasted on BKWine Magazine.

But Henri Bourgeois was just one of the visits in Sancerre so there were many more exciting wines and wineries on this wine tour!

Come on a wine tour to Sancerre in the Loire Valley, a Three Classics or a Loire tour, and you will experience these delicious wines yourself at their birth place!
